Global research publication WTR1000 has given SyCipLaw a Gold ranking in the 2026 edition of its directory, a ranking the Firm has held since 2021. The WTR1000 research focuses on legal trademark expertise.
This year’s edition also names the following SyCipLaw lawyers as Recommended Individuals:
Silver ranking:
Anthony W. Dee, Senior Partner and Head of the Firm’s Intellectual Property Department, is recognized for “working closely with the authorities in tracking down, seizing and destroying infringing goods.” He retains his Silver ranking.
Bronze ranking:
Ma. Patricia B. Paz-Jacoba, Partner, with a Bronze ranking, is recognized for being a “reliable ally for brands across a variety of industries.”
Recommended ranking:
Maria Teresa D. Mercado-Ferrer, Senior Partner, is cited for “excelling on the noncontentious front, deftly handling anything from filing and prosecution to portfolio management.” She retains her Recommended ranking.
Ricardo Jesus E. Gutierrez, Partner, is newly recognized by the guide which notes his skill “when it comes to negotiating the best deals in international multi-unit franchising and distribution agreements.” He earns a Recommended ranking.
The WTR 1000 explains that its rankings reflect a firm’s depth of expertise, market presence, and the level of work on which they are typically instructed, as well as favorable peer and client evaluations.
