I was honored to be included in GreyB's recent list of the Top 50 Singaporean Inventors with the Most Patents (2021-2026).

The list, published by GreyB Insights, tracks global patent publications from Singapore-based inventors over the last five years across sectors like AI, semiconductors, and biotech. I was ranked 39th, with 122 published patent applications to my name.

This recognition stems from my time as an R&D engineer at Panasonic, where my work was centered on the evolution of Wi-Fi standards, specifically IEEE 802.11be (WiFi-7). Back then, my world was defined by technical feasibility and solving complex engineering bottlenecks. Like many inventors, my focus was on "making it work," often leaving the broader IP strategy to the experts.

Today, I approach innovation from a different perspective as a patent attorney. This transition has given me a unique vantage point. Having been on the other side of the desk, I intimately understand the R&D process. This "inventor's lens" helps me quickly get to the heart of a client's technology, especially in telecommunications and electronics, and ensure it is backed by a solid patent.

I am grateful for those formative years in research, which continue to shape how I support our clients in navigating their own innovation journeys today.
