On 20 January, Kazakh Law Day took place at the  Fladgate LLP office as part of  British-Kazakh Society Kazakhstan Week in London, with discussions centred on key legal developments in Kazakhstan.

The event invited experts to discuss cross-border M&A trends, provided an overview of the AIFC (Astana International Financial Centre), and shared practical insights into dispute resolution in Kazakhstan.

Saniya Perzadayeva, Partner at Unicase Law, spoke on Panel I: "Trends, challenges and opportunities for cross-border Mergers and Acquisitions in Kazakhstan." The panel was dedicated to wind projects, particularly in the energy sector, and was moderated by Simon FT Cox of Norton Rose Fulbright, with speakers from firms including Grata, Artyushenko and Partners, and Fieldfisher.

We would like to thank  British-Kazakh Society and Rashid Gaissin for the invitation and the opportunity to contribute to the agenda. More updates are coming soon. It was great to meet both long-standing and new colleagues from the region and in London.
