Richard B. Levin, chair of the FinTech Practice, will be speaking at the Digital Assets at Duke (DA@D) Conference on Feb. 6, 2026. Levin’s Fireside Chat with SEC Commissioner Mark Uyeda will focus on the SEC’s approach to the regulation of digital assets at a critical moment for U.S. capital markets. Commissioner Uyeda will share his perspectives on the SEC’s crypto enforcement and rulemaking agenda, the role of the SEC in overseeing emerging market infrastructure, and the challenges of applying existing securities laws to rapidly evolving technologies such as tokenization and on-chain trading.

The Digital Assets at Duke conference brings together financial professionals, regulators, policymakers, technologists, academics, and legal experts for rigorous, evidence-based dialogue and is the premier annual conference of its kind. Learn more and register here.

Levin was one of the first lawyers to focus on the regulation of blockchain and digital assets. He is considered a legal thought leader in FinTech. Richard has represented electronic trading platforms since 1999. He brings his experience as a senior legal and compliance officer on Wall Street and in London to advising clients on corporate, FinTech, securities, and regulatory issues.
