Leading global law firm Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer has advised City Developments Limited (CDL), and its subsidiary, Copthorne Hotel Holdings Limited, on the acquisition of the 706-key Holiday Inn London - Kensington High Street.

The Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer team was led by Real Estate partner Jeremy Walden and senior associates Alex Wright and Laura Kendrick.

The wider cross-practice team included Adam Hooton, Max Wu, Ruby Yates (Core Real Estate), Nick Wright and Tiamera Hart (Employment), Paul Ellerman and Alexandra Bunge (Incentives), Victoria Horsey and Emma Sherratt (Intellectual Property), Duc Tran and Josie Desmond (Data Protection), Frank Thompson (Insurance), and James Tryfonos (Tax).

This marks the latest transaction in the hotel sector this year for the firm's market leading global Hospitality group, which advises across the breadth of the hotel sector from investment, joint venture and financing structures to operating arrangements, development, construction and disputes.
