We congratulate RapidDeploy (a Motorola Solutions Company) on being honoured with the 2025 Chairman’s Award at the SAVCA Industry Awards - a tribute to its pioneering role in emergency response technology and a shining example of African innovation on the global stage. Their impact was further recognised through a nomination in the Large Companies Category.

Earlier this year, RapidDeploy, a South African-founded public safety technology company, was acquired by Motorola Solutions, a US-listed leader in mission-critical communications and analytics. This landmark transaction represents a significant milestone for Africa’s tech and VC landscape.

Founded in 2016, RapidDeploy has revolutionised emergency response through its cloud-native solutions, including Radius - a cloud-based platform that helps 911 teams locate callers faster by visualising real-time data on a single, unified map; Lightning, which enables mobile 911 data access; and Eclipse Analytics, which enhances response times and resource allocation. These innovations empower public safety agencies with real-time data and situational awareness - saving lives when every second counts.

“We are pleased to have acted as legal advisor to RapidDeploy on this transformative journey and thank them for placing their trust in us. It is a privilege to support a company that is not only revolutionising emergency response globally, but also showcasing the strength of African tech innovation. Their recognition at the SAVCA Industry Awards is a testament to their impact and vision,” said Cheván Daniels, Executive in Corporate Commercial.
