Shareholder Robert Lightfoot presented at the State Bar of Wisconsin's "Legal Issues of the Aging 2025" seminar on Friday, September 19, at the State Bar Center in Madison, Wisconsin. Lightfoot took part in the session "Where the rubber meets the road – a panel discussion with the Facility and Elder Law perspective." In it, he discussed several important topics, including who's driving assisted living mergers and acquisitions, how to navigate key regulatory challengers facing the industry, and managing high-risk situations like involuntary discharges and private pay timelines.
Lightfoot is a shareholder and chair of Reinhart's Health Care Practice and Long-Term Care, Assisted Living and Senior Independent Housing Services Group. He represents the owners and operators of nursing homes and assisted living facilities in operational, regulatory and employment matters, as well as buying, selling and licensing these entities, survey and certification, audits, risk management and HIPAA compliance.
