A&O Shearman is representing MAI Capital Management, a registered investment advisor, in its combination with Evoke Advisors.

The combination of Cleveland-based MAI Capital and Los Angeles-based Evoke Advisors will expand the combined firm's national presence and strengthen its position with ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, and institutions. Together, the firm will manage approximately USD60 billion. Founded in 1973, MAI Capital has 33 offices across the United States, a team of over 500 people, and as of June 30, 2025, nearly USD35bn in total assets.

The transaction was announced on August 27, 2025 in a press release. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
