KordaMentha is pleased to have played a key role in the successful voluntary administration and sale of the assets of Peter Stevens Motorcycles and Harley Heaven. The Peter Stevens Motorcycle Group was Australia's largest privately owned motorcycle distributor and held some of Australia's most recognised motorcycle retail brands.
Appointed as voluntary administrators in May 2025, KordaMentha worked with key stakeholders including the Group's shareholder, bank, floorplan providers and landlords to allow the business to continue to trade whilst we pursued a competitive sale process. This collaborative approach ensured the best possible outcome for all stakeholders, preserving the legacy of a brand that has served Australian riders for over five decades.
The transaction resulted in the acquisition of key assets by ASX-listed MotorCycle Holdings Limited and Joe Rascal Group. This has secured the future of brands across Australia, and more importantly, enabled stores to remain open. Over 200 jobs have been retained and losses to customers and suppliers minimised.
KordaMentha's reputation and trusted relationships with major lenders were instrumental in providing the time and confidence needed to pursue the right outcome, not just the easiest one. This enabled a thorough and considered process that balanced financial, commercial and social priorities.
This result reflects KordaMentha's commitment to delivering sustainable solutions that protect value, preserve employment, and maintain community connections. We thank all parties involved for their collaboration and support throughout the process. In particular we appreciate the assistance of Consumer Affairs Victoria and Department of Transport and Planning in Victoria as well as their counterparts in New South Wales, South Australia and Western Australia for their pragmatic assistance in allowing continued trading.
