KordaMentha, the independent Australian-owned and led advisory and investment firm, today announced the launch of a new National Technology and Data capability, further strengthening its ability to support clients with digital and data transformation, strategy, advisory and enterprise technology solutions. This new offering cements KordaMentha's reputation as a trusted partner for organisations who are navigating complex change.
The Technology and Data team is led by Ryan Wadsworth, Partner and CIO at KordaMentha, who has played a pivotal role in the firm's evolution over the past 17 years. "We're proud to introduce our new Technology and Data team as an extension of our services to clients," said Ryan. "Enhancing organisational performance has always been at the heart of our approach."
The formation of KordaMentha's Technology and Data team was initiated last financial year with the appointments of Partners Roheena Khan and Sharee Bartlett, two experienced technology professionals with deep expertise across industries. Roheena brings over 20 years of experience in Data and AI, specialising in the financial services sector and Sharee brings more than 26 years of advisory experience supporting businesses across the public and private sectors.
The new team also folds in KordaMentha's existing Forensic Data Analytics capability, led by Ronald Holtshausen, to offer a complete and integrated data analytics service. This ensures clients have access to deep forensic expertise combined with advanced analytics, providing a comprehensive approach to uncovering insights, managing risk, and supporting complex investigations.
Complementing this, Luke Halliday has joined the firm as a Partner in the Technology and Data team. As the Victorian Government's inaugural Chief Technology Officer, a former private sector executive and founder, Luke brings over 20 years of executive experience helping leaders take control of technology at critical moments.
To further bolster the Technology and Data capability, KordaMentha has acquired Melbourne-based CharterX, a digital transformation and enterprise architecture firm with a strong track record across government, higher education, and the private sector. As part of the acquisition, Matthew Chessell, former Managing Director of CharterX, will join KordaMentha's experienced leadership team.
Ryan continued: "CharterX brings enterprise architecture expertise that complements our existing services and closes a capability gap identified in our work with many clients. Combined with the exceptional talent in our newly formed team, we're now positioned to deliver even greater impact."
Matthew Chessell added, "The team at CharterX is excited to join such a respected and hands-on Australian brand as KordaMentha. It's a great fit, allowing us to offer world-leading enterprise digital transformation while working closely with other business units to enhance the client experience."
The team is expected to grow to more than 30 professionals by the end of this financial year, enabling KordaMentha to deliver integrated solutions across restructuring, performance improvement, and now, technology and data. This move supports KordaMentha's position as a forward-thinking leader in advisory services—where technology, data, and strategy converge to shape what's next for businesses.
