Young Moore has been named to North Carolina Lawyers Weekly’s list of Best Women‑Led Law Firms, a recognition that highlights firms across the state that are led by women and demonstrate excellence in the legal profession and beyond. Honorees are selected based on leadership, growth, mentorship, employee support, and community impact—factors long exemplified by Young Moore’s leadership team.

At the helm of the 40-attorney firm is Managing Partner Dawn M. Dillon, a seasoned employment attorney and the first woman to lead the firm since its founding in 1954. Dawn is known for fostering an environment where attorneys—especially women—are encouraged to lead with confidence, find their voice, and support one another professionally and personally.

In addition to Dillon, Young Moore is proud to have four other accomplished women shareholders who help shape the firm’s culture and success:

  • Angela F. Craddock, Immediate Past Chair of the NC Bar Association’s Appellate Practice Section and a member of Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite™ Appellate Hall of Fame, leads the firm’s appellate practice and serves as a thought leader in appellate processes.
  • Susan T. Fountain, named to NC Lawyers Weekly’s Medical Malpractice Power List, has extensive experience defending healthcare providers and institutions. She is known for her integrity, judgment, and tireless advocacy in complex litigation.
  • Susan H. Haberberger focuses her practice on Estate Planning and Estate Administration. She combines her legal expertise with deep community involvement, having served on numerous local nonprofit boards including The Green Chair Project, Meals on Wheels of Wake County, Make-A-Wish of Eastern North Carolina and the Poe Center for Health Education.
  • Dana H. Hoffman, past President of the Trucking Industry Defense Association (TIDA), has been named to NC Lawyers Weekly’s Personal Injury Power List for three consecutive years. She is widely recognized for her mentorship of young attorneys and her nationally respected litigation practice.

All five women shareholders have been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America®, reflecting their professional excellence across diverse practice areas. Beyond accolades, each is committed to mentoring the next generation—strengthening the firm and the broader legal community through example, guidance, and service.

This honor reflects the collective strength of our leadership and the values we strive to uphold,” says Managing Partner Dawn Dillon. “It’s not just about recognition—it’s about how we show up for our clients, each other, and our profession every day.”
