Flight Delay: Our team successfully secured compensation for our clients under European Regulation 261/2004.
The matter concerned a significant flight delay on a journey from Larnaca to New York with a layover in London. Whereas the first flight was operated without any delay, the passengers were held onboard the aircraft for a significant amount of time upon landing in London. As a result, our clients missed their connecting flight from London to New York, and arrived at their final destination more than 13 hours late. Despite the airline's initial refusal to compensate, claiming "extraordinary circumstances", we were successful in demonstrating that our clients were entitled to compensation under the applicable legal framework. As a result, our clients were compensated.
