Butler Snow LLP is pleased to welcome attorneys Megan M. Everett and Jacoby L. Gilmore to the firm’s Constitutional and Civil Rights Litigation practice group.

Butler Snow LLP is pleased to welcome attorneys Megan M. Everett and Jacoby L. Gilmore to the firm's Constitutional and Civil Rights Litigation practice group. Everett will practice in the firm's Huntsville, Alabama office, while Gilmore will practice in the Ridgeland, Mississippi office.

"We are thrilled to announce the addition of Megan and Jacoby to the firm," said Christopher R. Maddux, chair of Butler Snow. "Both attorneys bring with them legal expertise that will further strengthen our Constitutional and Civil Rights Litigation team."

Megan M. Everett

Everett joins Butler Snow's Constitutional and Civil Rights Litigation practice group after managing the University of Alabama's patent portfolio in the Office of Innovation and Commercialization. In this role, she oversaw the protection and commercialization of the university's research and technologies. She is a member of the American Bar Association and is admitted to the state bar of Alabama.

Everett earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Alabama and her Master of Laws and Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama School of Law. In law school, she served as the Senior Editor of the Law & Psychology Review.

Jacoby L. Gilmore

Gilmore joins the firm's Constitutional and Civil Rights Litigation practice group and will focus on correctional litigation matters. Before joining Butler Snow, he had a clerkship with The Honorable Deborah A. McDonald of the Mississippi Court of Appeals.

Gilmore earned his bachelor's degree, summa cum laude, from Alcorn State University and his Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law. In law school, he served as Staff Editor and Diversity Officer of the Mississippi Law Journal.
