PECO has launched a new competitive request for proposals (RFP) to procure long-term renewable energy, capacity, and associated solar photovoltaic alternative energy credits (SPAECs) from new solar projects in Pennsylvania. The RFP, approved by the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC), is designed to support the continued expansion of solar power generation across the state.
NERA was chosen as the independent evaluator to manage the RFP process, including promoting the opportunity to solar developers in the region, evaluating qualification materials and bids, and reporting to the PUC on the results. To help potential bidders understand the process, PECO and the NERA team, lead by Managing Director Katie Orlandi and Director Paul Cardona, will host a live bidder information webcast on 11 June at 1:00 pm EDT. The webcast will provide a comprehensive overview of the RFP structure, project eligibility requirements, credit and contract terms, and instructions for submitting a proposal. All prospective participants are strongly encouraged to attend and should RSVP here.
