Please join us on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 for our webinar where Annik Forristal, Kyle Lambert, Kailey Sutton and Patrick Pinho will discuss amendments to the Construction Act as introduced by Bill 216, which received Royal Assent on November 6, 2024, and the implications for stakeholders in the construction industry once the amendments come into force.

Discussion topics will include:

  • Changes to proper invoice requirements and processes.
  • New provisions relating to designer lien rights where a project is cancelled before construction begins.
  • Changes to holdback release requirements, including the introduction of mandatory annual holdback release.
  • Changes to adjudication, including when adjudication is available and adjudication processes.
  • Transition provisions applicable to existing contracts and projects.

The discussion will be interactive and will include an extensive Q&A period.

CPD: This program qualifies for up to 75 minutes of Substantive CPD in ON, 75 minutes of CPD in BC and 75 minutes of CLE in Quebec.
