Lyndsay is widely recognized as one of Canada's foremost authorities in privacy, data protection and cybersecurity laws. Over the course of her career, she has earned numerous accolades from the top legal directories for her strategic counsel and thought leadership in this dynamic field. She regularly supports clients and works with international counsel on complex privacy and data protection matters, including evaluating unique issues associated with new technologies and developing comprehensive privacy compliance programs.
In addition to her legal practice, Lyndsay is a prolific author whose writings include co-authoring Privacy in the Workplace, 4th ed., as well as numerous articles in leading legal and industry publications which have helped shape national discourse on topics ranging from cybersecurity to cross-border data processing and AI regulation. Lyndsay is deeply committed to sharing her knowledge, frequently presenting at conferences and seminars across Canada and internationally while being a valued mentor and influential leader within McMillan. Moreover, she serves as Chair of both the Data Breach and AI committees within PrivacyRules, a global alliance of privacy professionals, and she is the Co-Director of the Osgoode Certificate in Privacy and Cybersecurity Law program, reflecting her enduring commitment to advancing education, collaboration and innovation in today's rapidly evolving legal and digital landscape.

Presented annually by the Ontario Bar Association in memory of Karen Spector—a passionate advocate for privacy rights and legal integrity—this prestigious award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated outstanding legal expertise, practice excellence, thought leadership, scholarship, organizational impact, advocacy and mentorship in advancing privacy law in Ontario. The award will be formally presented at the 2025 OBA Privacy Law Summit on Wednesday, October 15th in Toronto.
