We are proud to celebrate the success of the Cayman Islands Marathon, held on Sunday, 1 December 2024. The annual event, which has become a highlight on Cayman’s sporting calendar, drew participants and spectators in a display of determination and community support.
As title sponsors for the 4th year, the support from the Walkers team was unwavering. Team Walkers sported 31 official volunteers, 36 runners, and countless spectators cheering along the course.
Our Walkers Running 1 team, ran by Hugh Anderson, Chris Brett-Young, Colm Dawson, and Pete Kendall, placed first in the Corporate 4-person relay category. Hugh Anderson notably finished 6th overall for the men's half marathon. People from all departments at Walkers completed the 4-person relay, half marathon and even one person completed the full marathon.
Congratulations to everyone who participated and thank you to the volunteers and the community for showing up and helping raise funds for local charities in Cayman.
