Please join us in welcoming Stephen Cha-Kim as a member of our Complex Litigation practice, resident in New York. As a former Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, he brings extensive experience handling all stages of affirmative and defensive civil litigation — from pre-suit investigations through trial and appeal.
During his eight years at the SDNY, Stephen represented the federal government before U.S. District, Bankruptcy, and Circuit Courts in a broad range of matters involving financial fraud, customs fraud, healthcare fraud, civil rights, environmental, tax, regulatory, tort, national security, commercial, art and intellectual property, and international law. He managed complex, multiagency investigations of public and corporate entities, obtained numerous trial victories, negotiated favorable settlements, and briefed and argued appeals before the Second Circuit involving issues of first impression.
Stephen brings his impressive record of experience and versatile skill set to our growing roster of SDNY alumni, former prosecutors, and talented litigators. We welcome the opportunity to bring Stephen's expertise and the capabilities of our leading Complex Litigation team to bear on resolving the high-stakes disputes that can arise as you pursue your business objectives in an increasingly complex commercial environment.
