Riker Danzig LLP welcomed four 2025 Summer Associates to the Firm on May 19: Meghna Gohil, Carla Ko, Maya Pacheco-Smith and Noah Wilk.

The Firm's Summer Associate Program is designed with professional development as the primary goal, providing each Summer Associate with exposure to numerous Riker Danzig attorneys and practice areas while performing written work-product and pro bono assignments. The work assignments allow each Summer Associate to become a part of the team of attorneys working on a case or transaction. Each summer associate is assigned a partner mentor and an associate mentor.

Riker Danzig's 2025 Summer Associates:

Meghna Gohil received her undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, in Mathematics from The College of New Jersey in 2023. While at TCNJ, Meghna was on the Dean's List and was involved in Phi Beta Kappa and Pi Mu Epsilon. She was the recipient of the TCNJ Mathematics Senior Achievement Award in 2023.

At Wake Forest University School of Law, Gohil is a Staff Member of the Wake Forest Journal of Law & Policy. She is also a member of several other communities on campus, such as the Wake Forest Law Ambassador Program and Walker Moot Court Competition. Lastly, Meghna was the recipient of the Dean Suzanne Reynolds Award—Legal Research in 2024.

Carla Ko received her undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, in Business Administration, concentration in Marketing, with a minor in Pre-Law Studies from Montclair State University in 2022. While at Montclair State, Carla was in the Honors Program, a Presidential Scholar, and a member of the NJ Collegiate Business Administration Association Honor Society. She received the Dean's Award for Outstanding Graduating Senior. Additionally, Carla was active in Sigma Delta Tau and head of the Elections Committee.

At Seton Hall University School of Law, Carla is a Presidential Scholar and a Dorothy Day Scholar. Additionally, she is the Secretary of the Family Law Society.

Maya Pacheco-Smith joins Riker Danzig's Summer Associate Program after being selected for the 2025 Riker/Crum & Forster Joint Diversity Summer Internship Program through the Rutgers Minority Student Program (MSP). The MSP is a nationally-acclaimed and highly successful post-admissions program that serves students of any race or ethnicity who are members of groups that are underrepresented in the legal profession, and who have faced discrimination or overcome social and economic hardships.

Launched in June of 2022, the Joint Diversity Summer Internship Program was designed to provide an in-depth internship experience for a select law student who is a member of an underrepresented group in the legal profession. The program provides the selected law student with the opportunity to work with lawyers in Crum & Forster's legal department as well as with various practice areas in Riker Danzig as part of its comprehensive annual Summer Associate Program for second year law students.

Maya begins her internship in Riker Danzig's Morristown office at Headquarters Plaza and will transition to Crum & Forster's legal department on Madison Avenue in Morristown on June 16. She received her undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, in Psychology from Hampton University in 2021. While at Hampton University, Maya received the Hampton University Merit Scholarship. She was involved in the Pre-Law Society and was the Financial Secretary of The Gamma Iota Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

At Rutgers Law School, Maya is the recipient of the 2024-2025 Institutional Scholarship Award. Additionally, she is the Associate Editor of the Rutgers Race and Law Review. She is the Vice President of the Association of Black Law Students. Lastly, Maya is involved in the Society for Corporate Law and Governance and the Minority Student Program.

Noah Wilk received his undergraduate degree, cum laude, in Government and Law, with a minor in Philosophy and Asian Studies from Lafayette College in 2023. While at Lafayette, Noah was the recipient of the Benjamin F. Barge Oratorical Prize. Additionally, he was President of the Mock Trial Team (2019-2023).

At University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, Noah was the Maryland Law Scholars Award recipient.
