Update for employers hiring low skilled migrant workers.

Background

Immigration New Zealand have changed what an employer is required to provide with a low skilled (ANZSCO skill level 4-5 or anyone earning less than $21.68 hourly) essential skills work visa application.

Update

Employers hiring low skilled workers now need to:

  • Advertise the role on MSD's job portal; and
  • Contact MSD via email about listing the role.

The advertising outcome report and MSD email correspondence then both need to be uploaded to the low skilled essential skills work visa application.
