In line with recent recommendations from the Securities Trading Commission, the Amsterdam Exchanges NV has decided to raise the wholesale threshold for KLM shares from 5,000 to 10,000 shares as of May 1, 1996.

The bourse considers this increase advisable to safeguard the balanced relationship between professional trade and the central market. This measure will enhance the liquidity, transparency and thus the quality of price formation in the retail segment.
