Athens, Greece – The Greek Ministry of Development has announced an extension of the deadline for legal entities to hold their General Assemblies to approve the financial statements for the fiscal year 2023. This extension, which mirrors a similar move made last year, provides companies with an additional 50 calendar days to complete this important process.

Key Points:

  • Extended Deadline for Approval: The new deadline for General Assemblies of S.A. (A.E.), Ltd (EPE), and PC (IKE) legal entities (using a fiscal year from 1.1 to 31.12) to approve their 2023 financial statements is October 30, 2024.
  • Publication Deadline: Following the approval of financial statements, companies must submit them for publication to the GEMI (General Commercial Registry of companies) within 20 days. This means the latest submission date for the publication of approved 2023 financial statements is now November 19, 2024.
