Today, the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 2,902 people to apply for Permanent Residence in Canada through Express Entry. The number of invitations increased slightly from the last draw on December 22, 2016 and is the largest number of invitations ever pulled since the program began on January 31st, 2015. This is the fourth Express Entry draw under the new point distribution and the number of invitations continues to climb. We hope to see this trend continue. The lowest qualifying score was 468, a drop of 7 points from the last round which allowed for more candidates to be accepted.

The Parent and Grandparent online form opened yesterday to the public. This very popular program permits Canadian citizens and Permanent Residents to sponsor parents or grandparents to immigrate to Canada as permanent residents. Sponsors will have 30 days to submit the online form. Those who are invited to apply will have 90 days to submit their complete application to IRCC.
