Kinstellar is pleased to announce that Petar Kojdić has joined Kinstellar as a Partner and Head of the firm's Banking & Finance practice in Belgrade.
Petar Kojdić is a highly regarded and well-known finance lawyer in Serbia and more widely across the region. He advises lenders and borrowers of all types on a wide range of cross-border and local finance transactions, including acquisition and leveraged finance, project finance, debt restructurings and re-financings as well as loan and portfolio sales transactions.
In addition, Petar focuses on legal and regulatory advice related to structured finance, netting, derivatives, financial collateral, securitisation as well as repo and capital markets transactions. His work involves negotiating finance and hedging documents with various counterparties (banks and other financial institutions, funds, corporates and sovereign entities) and issuing netting, collateral and other legal opinions. Petar is an author of ISDA's netting opinion for Serbia.
Petar joins Kinstellar from the Belgrade practice of Schoenherr (Moravcevic Vojnovic and Partners in cooperation with Schoenherr) where he was a partner and the co-head of their local Banking & Finance practice.
Over the course of his career, Petar has been recognised by the main international legal directories Chambers and Legal 500 and other benchmark publications as one of the leading lawyers in Serbia for banking and finance matters. In recent editions clients praise him as ''one of the best banking and finance lawyers on the market'', having ''a broad knowledge base, noteworthy experience [and who] knows the banking industry well'' (Legal 500) while another notes that he ''always performs over and above expectations''. Petar earned an LL.M. degree from the Central European University in Budapest and an LL.B. from the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law. He speaks Serbian and English.
