Managing Partner and Chair of the Labor + Employment Group Ronald Shechtman began his law career with a personal goal: "do good" Nearly 50 years later, Ron is prominent attorney for management and artists in theater and dance, represents a number of nonprofit organizations on a pro bono basis, and regularly lectures at the theater program at Yale University and Yale School of Drama.

"What made this show unique is that the cast worked for a year on the script and character development. After a year, the original actors who stayed on felt they had made a meaningful contribution and left an imprimatur on the production." [...] Schechtman structured a deal allowing the actors to receive meaningful compensation with the show's continued success. "Now, the union has revised the contract for these workshops to make it easier for the actors to participate in the royalty stream." Having grossed more than $500 million to date, "Hamilton" continues to generate more than $500,000 in profits every week."
