On June 30, OFAC published a final rule in the Federal Register,
amending and reissuing in their entirety the Burmese Sanctions
Regulations, 31 C.F.R. part 537, to implement a series of executive
orders that the President has issued to modify the scope of the
national emergency declared in Executive Order 13047 of May 22,
1997. This included incorporating several general licenses
previously posted on OFAC's website, as well as removing
prohibitions, interpretations, and general licenses that are no
longer applicable under the existing Myanmar sanctions program.
