In an article examining an increase in Texas mergers and acquisitions in 2022, Texas Lawbook spoke with Private Equity and M&A Partner Peter Bogdanow about what he's expecting the second half of the year.

The publication's Corporate Deal Tracker showed M&A attorneys have been busier than ever this year. Peter predicted more activity before any slowdown.

"I have to believe that it will slow up soon given all the market uncertainty, but I think for now everyone is trying to squeeze their deal in before further problems come up," he said. "[F]or the short term it may in fact be busier. Whether this happens in H2 or next year hard to say."

Compared with record levels of activity in 2021, Peter added that the activity was similar in terms of types of deals, with a lot of existing and new investments continuing to be made.
