CNC Opens Investigation Proceedings against the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces and Several Associations of Colleges
After a preliminary confidential investigation, the Investigations Division of the CNC resolved on 13 January 2011 to open formal proceedings against the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (Federación Española de Municipios y Provincias), the Higher Council of the Colleges of Architects of Spain (Consejo Superior de los Colegios de Arquitectos de España).

Spanish Competition Authority ('CNC') Opens Investigation Proceedings Against Three Spanish Telecom Operators: Telefónica Móviles, Vodafone and Orange ('France Telecom')
After a preliminary confidential investigation carried out on its own initiative, the Investigations Division of the CNC opened formal proceedings on 17 January 2011 against Telefónica Móviles de España, S.A.U., Vodafone España, S.A.U. and France Telecom España, S.A. (the "Operators") for a possible abuse of a dominant position, prohibited by article 2 of the Spanish Competition Act and Article 102 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union ('TFEU').

The CNC Fines Three Maritime Transport Companies for Agreeing the Price of Passenger Transport at Peak Periods During 2008 and 2009 for Their Hauling Crossing Operations Between Algeciras and Ceuta in the Strait of Gibraltar
On 28 May 2008, the Investigations Division of the Spanish competition authority, the Comisión Nacional de la Competencia (the "CNC") received a written complaint from the Spanish City of Ceuta in relation to an alleged price-fixing cartel prohibited by Article 1 of the Spanish Competition Act 15/2007 that involved Buquebus España S.A., Acciona Trasmediterránea, S.A., Euromaroc 2000, S.L. and Europa Ferrys S.A.
