Solar-plus-storage developer 174 Power Global, a subsidiary of Hanwha Energy Corporation of Korea, has entered into a joint venture with an affiliate of French energy conglomerate Total, to develop utility-scale solar and storage projects with a total capacity of 1.6GW in the United States.

The plants, which are to all be completed by 2024, will be constructed in Texas, Nevada, Oregon, Wyoming, and Virginia. The projects were sourced from 174 Power Global's strong development pipeline.

The in-house legal team at 174 Power Global was led by general counsel Carolyn Byun and vice president of legal Pauline Ung. L2 Counsel, P.C. was co-counsel for 174 Power Global, together with Amis Patel & Brewer, Stoel Rives and DLA Piper. The L2 Counsel team was led by Louis Lehot, alongside Natasha Allen and Nicole Hatcher.
