MT+Co. proudly announces that Tamara Napoleon has been honoured as a 2020 Lexpert Rising Star; one of the leading lawyers under 40 in Canada.
Tamara is recognized for her outstanding contributions to our clients, our profession and our community. A skilled negotiator, Tamara is one of a few Indigenous female solicitors in Canada. She advocates for Indigenous law as an instrument of change, and is especially devoted to ensuring the equality of Indigenous women and empowering Indigenous Peoples through the affirmation of their legal orders.
In honour of Tamara's award, MT+Co. will make a significant donation to the Aboriginal Mother Centre Society in East Vancouver. The funds will help 16 Indigenous mothers and their children celebrate the holidays with comfort this year. The Society provides support to their community in the Downtown Eastside, such as providing 200 hot meals daily. Tamara served as a former director and vice-president of the Society.
