Human trafficking has been gaining greater public attention, and the Federal Government has increased its focus on combating human trafficking since 2000. Now, the Federal Government requires every Federal contract, grant, and cooperative agreement to include a requirement that the recipients of the Federal funds comply with its policy to combat trafficking. A failure to comply with those contract clauses may result in negative consequences, including criminal and civil liability, suspension or debarment, termination of the agreement, and a negative past performance rating for the contract.

This webinar program is designed to help attendees understand the obligations that the FAR 52.222-50, "Combating Trafficking in Persons" clause requires contractors to meet. Led by an attorney who has helped numerous contractors navigate the clause's requirements, this webinar will include common questions and examples to guide the discussion.

By the end of the webinar session, attendees will be able to:

  • Understand the basic obligations imposed by FAR 52.222-50 and the risks of non-compliance with the clause
  • Identify common areas of non-compliance
  • Answer common questions about compliance
