Mayer Brown partner Edgar Khalatian has been named to LA Times Studios' 2026 list of Commercial Real Estate Visionaries, which recognizes professionals making significant contributions to Southern California's commercial real estate industry.
Edgar is the leader of Mayer Brown's Land Use practice group and advises investors, developers, institutions, and property owners on all aspects of the entitlement and development process. His practice focuses on land use entitlements, environmental review and compliance, and strategic government relations matters associated with development projects across California, including data centers, battery energy storage system (BESS) facilities, mixed-use developments, and other complex real estate projects.
In addition to his legal practice, Edgar is an active leader in the land use and development community and has served in leadership roles with numerous planning, business, housing, and educational organizations throughout the Los Angeles region.
