Six students currently articling at WeirFoulds recently spent an evening giving back to members of the community struggling with food insecurity through the Law Society Foundation’s Lawyers Feed the Hungry initiative.

Students assisted with meal service, helped distribute food and refreshments, and connected with guests in a welcoming and respectful environment.

The evening came as part of WeirFoulds’ ongoing commitment to supporting its community. Each year’s cohort of articling students take part in Lawyers Feed the Hungry, and participation has quickly become one of the highlights of the articling experience.

Starting as a dine-in meal service at Osgoode Hall in the early 2000s, Lawyers Feed the Hungry has expanded to over nine centres across Ontario and serves nearly 75,000 meals every year.

Lawyers Feed the Hungry is funded by donations to the Law Society Foundation. To find out more, click here. For more on WeirFoulds’ student programs, click here.
