Shareholder Jessica Culotti was a featured speaker during the National Association of Public Pension Attorneys (NAPPA) Legal Education Conference, held June 16-19 at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Culotti presented during one of the afternoon sessions on June 17. The session, "Mistakes Happen – Correcting Plan Failures Post SECURE 2.0," covered tax correction principles for overpayment and eligible inadvertent failures under SECURE 2.0 correction rules.
The conference provides attorneys with opportunities to learn about current issues in public pension law, share solutions and network with peers.
Culotti is a member of Reinhart's Employee Benefits Practice, representing government, tax-exempt and corporate employers. Her clients include state, county and city governments, public universities, nonprofits and corporations across the United States. A regular speaker at NAPPA's annual conference, Culotti is also a member of its tax committee.
