Rachel Walters (Of Counsel-Miami, FL) has been appointed Treasurer of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). This national invitation-only organization, comprised of experienced trial lawyers and judges, is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the civil jury trial right provided by the Seventh Amendment, and fostering improvement in the ethical and technical standards of practice in the field of advocacy. ABOTA members are committed to supporting a diverse, inclusive, and civil justice system through initiatives on education, judicial independence, and the rule of law, among others. Rachel, a Florida Board-Certified Civil Trial Lawyer and a member of Wilson Elser’s National Trial Team, has spent more than 20 years handling complex litigation and successfully trying cases throughout Florida. Her election to ABOTA’s executive leadership reflects the high regard in which she is held by her peers and fellow trial lawyers.
