MILWAUKEE – Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c. (Reinhart) is pleased to announce that the International Law Section of the American Bar Association (ABA) has appointed Shareholder Rob Misey as the chair of its Ethics Committee, comprised of more than 500 attorneys worldwide.
The International Ethics Committee informs members about ethical and professional responsibilities affecting cross-border practice. The committee responds to ethical questions from the International Law Section, develops policy recommendations on issues of professional responsibility and provides a forum to improve professional practices. The committee also proposes and recommends panels relevant to the committee’s mission for Section conferences and occasionally presents independent programs.
Misey previously served as the chair of the International Law Section’s Tax Committee. The International Law Section is one of the original sections of the ABA.
As a member of Reinhart’s Tax and Corporate Law practices, Misey serves a wide range of clients in industries such as manufacturing, distribution, securities, and sport and entertainment with international taxation and tax controversy matters. Misey is also chair of the firm’s International Practice, as well as the president of the Milwaukee Tax Club and a member of the Wisconsin Accounting Examining Board.
