This week, PLMJ is hosting the 'Arbitration Techniques for Future Trainee Lawyers' course, which is organised by the Portugal Very Young Arbitration Practitioners group.

In an interview, Joaquim Shearman de Macedo, partner and co-head of Dispute Resolution, shares the key skills and competencies he considers important for future lawyers.

Other speakers on this course include Rute Alves and Catarina M. Cerqueira, both from the same team. Rute Alves, a senior counsel, is leading the session on 'Communication with the client'. Catarina M. Cerqueira, an associate, is contributing to the panel on 'Simulation of a trainee lawyer's work'.
