PITTSBURGH (March 2026) - Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney continues to expand its Pennsylvania government relations practice with the addition of Curt Conrad as a senior advisor in its Pittsburgh office. He brings deep experience in government, policy, and stakeholder engagement to help clients navigate complex issues.
"We are thrilled to welcome Curt to the team," said Randy Vulakovich, co-chair of Buchanan's state and federal government relations practice. "We have been focused on strategic additions to our government relations team in Pittsburgh, adding known leaders in the region like Jenn Beer and Curt. Curt brings impressive public-sector experience and key relationships that will deliver value to our clients."
"Joining Buchanan was the clear next step in my career," said Conrad. "I look forward to offering clients a strategic, solution-oriented approach, along with valuable local insight. I'm excited to work with my Buchanan colleagues to deliver even more value to the firm's clients in Pittsburgh and across Pennsylvania."
Most recently, Conrad served as a Senior Government Affairs Liaison at Pittsburgh Regional Transit, where he engaged federal, state, and local officials on policy and funding priorities. He played a key role in strengthening relationships with elected officials and helped advance major infrastructure initiatives, including the implementation of the region's first bus rapid transit project.
He also previously served as Chief of Staff to former Pittsburgh Councilman, and now Pittsburgh's Mayor, Corey O'Connor. In that role, he was deeply involved in the city's legislative and political landscape. He developed strong partnerships with nonprofit and business communities, gained a thorough understanding of municipal processes and policies, and built lasting relationships with local leaders.
Buchanan's Pennsylvania Government Relations offers one of the largest and most well-established government relations practices in Pennsylvania. Focused on strategic growth, it was recently announced that Jenn Beer, CEO at Leadership Pittsburgh, will join the firm after a brief transition period at her current organization.
