Nashville, Tenn., (November 18, 2025) – Bass, Berry & Sims recently welcomed seven lateral attorneys to the firm, including Cody Anthony, Stephanie M. Higdon, Gunnar T. Jurgensen, Grace E. Platt, Jordan Ross, Kristian N. Smith and Charles R. Tammons, Jr. Six of the attorneys join the Nashville, Tennessee, office and one joins the Washington, D.C. office. So far this year, 24 lateral attorneys have joined Bass, Berry & Sims among its Nashville, Memphis (Tennessee) and Washington, D.C. offices.

Cody Anthony (Associate, Nashville) represents clients in complex commercial litigation and government investigations. Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Anthony was a managing associate at Dentons US LLP in its New York office where he focused on complex commercial litigation, class action defense, and litigation involving the False Claims Act. Anthony earned a law degree from Fordham University School of Law (2021), and a master's degree (2016) and undergraduate degree (2013) from the University of Alabama.

Stephanie M. Higdon (Associate, Nashville) represents clients in complex business litigation and government investigations. In addition, she works with clients on antitrust and trade compliance related to proposed mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Higdon was an associate at Freshfields US LLP in its Washington, D.C. office focused on antitrust matters. She previously was an intern at the Yazidi Legal Network working with a global teaam on projects regarding access to justice and characterization of international legal resources. She earned a law degree from Vanderbilt Law School (2023) and undergraduate degrees from Lee University (2018).
Stephanie Higdon is currently licensed to practice in the District of Columbia and is registered to practice in Tennessee pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 7 Sec. 10.07

Gunnar T. Jurgensen (Associate, Nashville) provides regulatory and transactional counsel to clients across the healthcare industry. He counsels clients through regulatory diligence and operational matters related to strategic transactions. In addition, Jurgensen has experience working with clients on compliance under the Medicare and Medicaid rules, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services standards, and other federal and state regulations. Jurgensen is a Certified Medical Compliance Officer (CMCO) and a Certified Professional Coder – Apprentice (CPC-A). Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, he was a healthcare associate at Barnes & Thornburg LLP in its Nashville office. Jurgensen earned a law degree from William & Mary Law School (2022) and an undergraduate degree from Binghamton University, State University of New York (2019).

Grace E. Platt (Associate, Nashville) represents clients in complex business litigation and government investigations. In addition, she advises on mergers and acquisitions, LLC governance and control disputes, and fiduciary obligations. Prior to joining the firm, Platt was an associate in the Wilmington, Delaware, office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where she focused on complex litigation involving high-profile corporate mergers. She earned a law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law (2023) and an undergraduate degree from Middle Tennessee State University (2014).
Grace Platt is licensed to practice in Delaware; practicing in Tennessee pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 7, Sec. 10.07.

Jordan Ross (Associate, Washington, D.C.) advises clients on a wide range of healthcare regulatory, compliance and transactional matters in addition to healthcare commercial contracts and contract disputes. In addition, she works with clients on pharmacy benefit issues, such as health plan segmentation and/or restructuring of pharmacy benefit programs. Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims Ross was an associate at Wiley Rein, LLP in its Washington, D.C. office and at Gray Robinson, PA in its Gainesville, Florida, office. She earned a law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law with a Certificate of Advanced Study in Health Law (2021) and an undergraduate degree from the University of Florida (2016).

Kristian N. Smith (Senior Litigation Attorney, Nashville) represents clients in complex business litigation and government investigations with a particular focus on litigation involving Fortune 500 companies. As part of her practice, she manages all aspects of the discovery process, including large-scale document reviews and productions. Prior to joining the firm, Smith was a litigation associate at several firms in Atlanta. She earned a law degree from Emory University School of Law (2015) and an undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee (2011).
Kristian Smith is licensed to practice in Georgia. She is licensed in Tennessee pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 7 Sec. 10.07

Charles R. Tammons, Jr. (Associate, Nashville) advises clients in complex business litigation and government investigations. Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims Tammons served as a law clerk with the Honorable Eric Murphy oaf the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He was also an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Jones Day. Tammons earned a law degree from The University of Chicago Law School (2023) and an undergraduate degree from Rhodes College (2020).
