Ballard Spahr lawyers advised Versalinx Global Events, a portfolio company of Boathouse Capital, in its sale to life sciences industry engagement platform Questex, a portfolio company of MidOcean Partners, last week in the burgeoning research insights and market intelligence-focused events space.
Ryan Udell, a Mergers and Acquisitions partner who co-leads Ballard Spahr's Life Sciences Industry Team, and Adam Chelminiak, experienced M&A of counsel, led the team in selling Versalinx Global Events to Questex, an engagement platform centered on events, data insights, and digital communities in the health care, life sciences, wellness, and related spaces. The Ballard Spahr team also included Tax Group Senior Counsel John Eagan, and Gregory Szewczyk, partner and leader of the firm's Privacy and Data Security Group.
Versalinx Global Events, a worldwide provider of conferences in pharmaceutical market research and competitive intelligence, will join Questex's Fierce Healthcare & Life Sciences brands, Questex said in a news release.
The lawyers of Ballard Spahr's Mergers and Acquisitions Group and Life Sciences Industry Team have years of experience with the full range of transactions across related sectors, including health care, hospitals, pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical devices, genetic therapy, and digital health.
