Ballard Spahr represented AgraMarke Quality Grains, Inc., a Missouri agricultural cooperative of corn farmers, in its partnership with Turnspire Capital Partners LLC to form The LifeLine Group.
This new platform brings together LifeLine Foods LLC—a leading U.S. manufacturer of corn-based products serving the food, beverage, and building products industries—and ICM Biofuels LLC, which will be rebranded as LifeLine Biofuels. The LifeLine Group will leverage synergies between corn-based product manufacturing and renewable fuel production, enhancing efficiency and sustainability across the business.
Joe Thompson, who was involved in the formation of AgraMarke and LifeLine Foods in 2001, led the Ballard Spahr team. It included April Hamlin, who co-leads the Agribusiness Industry Team, and Michael R. Kuhn in Minneapolis; and Eric J. Kodesch and Alexis Prado in Portland.
