Cadwalader partner Martin Weinstein was featured on WORT 89.9 FM Madison’s Monday 8 O’Clock Buzz show to discuss the link between federal white collar prosecutions and funding for crime victim services.

The show examines how the federal Crime Victims Services fund, traditionally supported by fines and penalties from white collar prosecutions under the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA), has been steadily shrinking. This decline dates back several years and has led to reduced support for agencies that provide essential services to crime victims.

Drawing on his experience as a former federal prosecutor, Martin highlighted the impact of enforcement trends on VOCA funding and the broader implications for state-level victim assistance programs.
