Ballard Spahr has been named to The BTI Consulting Group’s Client Service A-Team, and four of the firm’s attorneys have been recognized as Client Service All-Stars.
“This latest result from BTI underscores what we already know—that keeping our clients’ priorities at the center of everything we do results in unparalleled service,” firm Chair Peter Michaud said. “Every day, every person at this firm works to provide our clients with even-better service as a trusted, innovative partner.”
BTI compiled its Client Service A-Team and Client Service All-Stars lists using data collected in its ongoing Annual Survey of General Counsel. Each year, BTI reaches out to a group of top legal decision-makers at large organizations with $700 million or more in revenue. Its survey includes Chief Legal Operating Officers and business executives who hire and influence the selection and hiring of law firms.
The Client Service A-Team recognizes law firms that deliver elite client service in the ever-changing legal field, and who demonstrate that they act quickly, include clients in strategy, field quality legal teams, are easy to work with, and offer practical and actionable recommendations.
The Client Service All-Stars honor highlights individual attorneys for their technical legal understanding, awareness of industry trends, complexity of work, consistent availability, and ability to navigate dynamic situations. The four Ballard Spahr attorneys recognized as Client Service All-Stars are:
- Barbara J. Duffy—Complex Commercial Litigation
- Katie Leesman—Business and Transactions, Energy
- Brandon Eugene Mahrt—Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate
- Charles D. Tobin—Litigation, Media and Entertainment Law
BTI has also named Ballard Spahr one of the Most Feared Firms in Litigation and a Leading Edge Law Firm, and has cited it for excellence in M&A and deal work. In 2025, Best Law Firms ranked 23 of the firm’s practices in the highest tier nationally, and Chambers USA recognized 185 attorneys and 76 practices for excellence.
