For more than six decades, our personal injury attorneys have successfully represented injured people in both state and federal courts, before arbitration hearing boards and in mediation and settlement conferences. In the process, we have helped establish new law and used personal injury litigation to compel corporations to produce safer products. As leaders in the areas of personal injury and wrongful death litigation, our attorneys have helped shape personal injury law, while securing millions of dollars in financial compensation for injured clients.

The current Presidential Administration has issued executive orders and taken other actions to punish law firms because of the work that lawyers at those firms have done. The Administration opposes or disagrees with their work, or the Administration may have issued the orders for political reasons. Several of these law firms have also represented corporate defendants that the Walkup Law Firm has sued on behalf of our injured clients. Lawyers at those firms have at times engaged in hard-knuckled litigation when we sued their clients. The Walkup Law Firm nevertheless strongly objects to the Administration's attacks on these firms and their lawyer.

With equal vigor we support the firms and lawyers, even those that have been our legal adversaries. Our liberties depend on lawyers' willingness to represent unpopular people and causes. Our profession owes every client zealous legal representation without fear of retribution, regardless of their political affiliation or ability to pay. Walkup stands for the rule of law. That means the fair and orderly administration of the law, whereby corporations, ordinary citizens, and especially our own government, can be held accountable while being treated fairly. The continued success of the United States Constitution depends upon this.

The Walkup Firm supports the legal challenges to the Administration's executive orders. We intend to join amicus briefs. We encourage other firms and lawyers to do the same.
