Foley Hoag is pleased to share that corporate transactions
attorneyJay G. Reillyhas joined the firm as a
partner in its Boston and Washington, D.C., offices. Reilly has
nearly three decades of experience providing solutions-focused
advice to life sciences and high-tech companies on both major
transactions and day-to-day operational matters.
Reilly represents biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device,
diagnostic, and digital health companies—as well as
universities and nonprofits—in licensing and collaboration
agreements, venture financings, and mergers and acquisitions. His
work spans both domestic and international markets.
“Jay brings deep experience advising companies in the
life-sciences and high-tech industries on a variety of complex
transactions,” said Jeff Quillen, partner and co-chair of
Foley Hoag’s Life Sciences Industry Group. “I’m
excited to welcome Jay to Foley Hoag and look forward to working

Reilly worked in-house for more than a decade, having previously
served as general counsel at a publicly traded specialty
pharmaceutical company and in senior legal roles at software and IT
consulting companies. Those experiences gave him a client’s
perspective on the challenges facing companies in these industries
and have positioned him to serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite
executives and boards of directors, as well as outside general
counsel to companies with lean in-house legal departments.

Reilly holds a B.A. from Yale College and a J.D. from Boston
