Global law firm Goodwin today announced the successful firmwide roll out of Legora, a cutting-edge generative AI platform designed specifically for legal professionals, as part of the mutually beneficial design partnership.
The global roll out of Legora represents a significant step forward in the firm's commitment to innovation, client service, and operational excellence.
Developed in partnership with Legora's legal AI team, the platform is engineered to optimize legal workflows, enhance decision-making, and empower lawyers to deliver faster, smarter, and more strategic counsel.
To support broad adoption worldwide, Goodwin has launched a comprehensive Legora training program, kicking off with a series of sessions outlining the fundamentals of the platform, followed by practice specific workshops, live events and weekly office hours to help users put their training into practice and familiarise users with the platform.
The results so far have been positive, with Legora offering solutions for a broad range of use cases, including summarization, issue spotting, contract terms extraction, and generating initial drafts of legal documents. In litigation matters, Legora accelerates document analysis following initial discovery, assists with drafting affirmative discovery, and also supports fact analysis and exhibit management.
Goodwin's AI strategy is designed to evolve in tandem with client needs with a dedicated team continuously working on tailored workflows in Legora to respond to specific client requirements. The global rollout spans all of Goodwin's global offices and practice areas.
"Rolling out Legora across the firm is about more than adopting new technology—it's about leading delivery model change," said Mary O'Carroll, Chief Operating Officer at Goodwin. "We're equipping our people with the skills and tools to harness AI, not to replace lawyers but to elevate their work. This is about embracing the right kind of disruption, the kind that drives us forward and ensures client outcomes remain at the heart of everything we do.
"With Legora, we are not just adopting a tool, we are seeing what is possible when you combine great technology with elite lawyers," added O'Carroll.
