CMS Luxembourg is pleased to announce the arrival of Hélène Retière as Counsel in our Dispute Resolution and Real Estate team. Her arrival is a significant step in the development of our Real Estate practice and aligns with our ambition to position CMS Luxembourg as a go-to firm for complex and high-stakes matters in these areas.
With nearly a decade of experience in civil and commercial litigation, Hélène brings valuable expertise in sectors such as real estate, construction and insurance. She advises clients on complex disputes, including pre-litigation strategy, and is highly regarded for her drafting and negotiation of real estate related contracts.
Hélène joins CMS from an international law firm where she led the Luxembourg Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice and was an integral part of the Real Estate group. Recognized as a “Key Lawyer” in The Legal 500 Luxembourg 2024 and 2025 for her work in real estate, she has built a strong reputation for responsiveness and service quality.
At the intersection of both litigation and transactional work, Hélène’s expertise will also contribute to the strengthening of the firm’s Real Estate capabilities—a practice that continues to gain recognition and market share.
Hugo Arellano, Partner in Dispute Resolution and Head of Real Estate, added:
We are truly delighted to welcome Hélène to the team. Her reputation and sector insight will add depth to our real estate team offering and allow us to deliver even more integrated, high-value support to our clients.
Her arrival also follows the integration of Antoine Laniez and his team in 2024, and underscores CMS Luxembourg’s ambition to become one of the most prominent Dispute Resolution practices in the country.
Hélène’s deep sector knowledge and client-focused approach will further enhance our ability to provide strategic litigation support across core industries. Her joining is a testament to our growth trajectory and our commitment to building a top-tier litigation platform in Luxembourg. I am very pleased with the evolution of our practice since joining CMS — we’ve seen a strong and positive response from clients, who are entrusting us with increasingly complex litigation and arbitration matters. Hélène’s arrival is a natural next step in this journey, bringing the additional strength and depth our clients expect.
said Antoine Laniez, Partner and Head of Dispute Resolution.
Hélène holds Master’s Degrees in Law from the University of Lorraine and Jean Moulin Lyon III, and completed an exchange program at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.
Her recruitment is a continuation of CMS Luxembourg’s focused strategy to build multi-disciplinary teams combining technical excellence with practical experience to meet the increasingly sophisticated needs of its clients.
