Mark Indelicato, managing partner of Thompson Coburn's New York office, has been named a 2025 Icon by the ABF Journal. This recognition celebrates industry pillars whose leadership and vision have consistently shaped the specialty finance landscape.

As the publication states, these Icons "aren't just part of the story — they helped write it," through their decades of contributions that have shaped the foundation of specialty finance.

Mark's extensive career includes representing all parties in bankruptcy matters, with a particular focus on secured lenders and creditor committees. He also has played pivotal roles in high-profile cases, including notably during the 2007 subprime crisis. "We had to unwind a maze of loans. It was about preserving credit market integrity and recovering value for stakeholders," he said. "Working with other lawyers and committee members, we created structures that helped navigate uncharted legal and financial terrain."

Mark has also contributed to the finance sector through his leadership roles, including serving as Global Chair of the Turnaround Management Association in 2012 and NYIC Chair from 2023 to 2025. Mentorship has also been a cornerstone of his career. He said, "Some of my greatest joy comes from grabbing a drink with a former colleague and hearing their success stories."
