Approved by voters through Ballot Measure 1, new Alaska laws take effect July 1, 2025. Alaska employers will be required to provide paid sick leave to employees.

Approved by voters through Ballot Measure 1, new Alaska laws take effect July 1, 2025. Alaska employers will be required to provide paid sick leave to employees. A new minimum wage goes into effect, with provisions for increases over time and new restrictions go into place on employer sponsored meetings with a religious or political purpose.
