Matt Owens, a partner in Sheppard Mullin's Business Trial and Private Wealth and Fiduciary Litigation practice groups, has been elected as a Fellow of the prestigious American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). ACTEC is a national association of attorneys who are peer-elected to membership and demonstrate the highest standards and expertise in trust and estate legal services, including fiduciary litigation, estate planning, probate and trust administration, and related practice areas.

Matt prosecutes and defends a wide range of private wealth matters, including trust contests, elder abuse actions, accountings, contested conservatorships, foundation disputes, and claims involving breach of fiduciary duty. Matt is also a strategic advisor to trustees on complex trust administration, and regularly advises high net worth individuals and families, corporate trustees, foundations and their board members, and licensed professional fiduciaries. He is based in the firm's San Diego (Del Mar) office.
